I have many interests. When I travel I carry a digital recorder so I can record musicians. A selection of recordings, including recordings of street musicians and a Pentacostal church service in Kenya, is included here. So, too, a mix of arresting images — images from cigarette packets and stenciled graffiti. I also include photographs of my maternal grandmother’s Los Angeles house taken in 1905 — a glimpse back to a different world.
