I encourage you to write to me. I am always interested in corresponding with people who share common interests. I am also always looking for recipe testers. At this time I am looking for people interested in testing bread recipes. I am also interested in people who have a bread oven — but having a bread oven is not a requirement for the recipe testing.

September 6-9 — Oxford Symposium on Food and Drink, Oxford, England.
September 10 – Kunming, China. Short field trip to study corn smut.
November, third week — Villard D’Arene, France, for a bread festival.

2008
March 8: Culinary Historians of Southern California. I am giving a talk on bread.
Early June: Food Culture and Society conference in New Orleans
End of August– Slow Food Nation, San Francisco
September — Oxford Symposium on Food and Drink, Oxford, England.
